Wildflowers by the Oregon Trail

On a trip back from Portland/Vancouver where my husband sometimes has to go to the V.A. we stopped at an historic marker and learned that part of the Oregon Trail crossed where we were traveling.  These beautiful wildflowers were growing by the trail and I photographed them and then painted them in oil.  Joining again today with Eva and Kristin's Paint Party Friday:

  3. I often draw foxgloves, too. They grew wild in the woods near where I lived. I have them in my garden, too. I adore your wonderful painting. I have driven the road up to the VA Hospital in Portland many times... ((HUGS)) Blessings to you.

  4. It's absolutely stunning, Marie. love the depth of the painting, with the soft, lovely flowers just glowing in the front. You just keep getting better and better.

  5. Beautiful painting!
As for not getting comments on your other blog, I think it must be the Comment Moderation setting. Try turning it off, and see if that helps. I hope it does!
