Okay, there is an explanation for this. I am Latane Barton who has been posting under Living Life On Main Street. I have gotten into art so much that I felt it was taking up just about all my posting space on that site so I created Palette and Paint so I could devote the entire blog to my and my daughter Marie's art work. I hope you will enjoy it and come back again and again to visit us.
This morning I am joining Michael McVean at Scribble Picnic. Come along with me as we investigate what others have done in the way of art.
The theme this week was GIFT WRAP.
And here is Waldo, the frisky little puppy. He has found his Christmas present and is jumping for joy as he pulls on the ribbon tie hoping to get that box open.
Love this! Can’t wait to see more.
ReplyDeleteHi Kenna, love seeing you here. How you will visit often.
DeleteThat's suppose to be Hope you will visit often.
DeleteHi Latane :) I love your sketch, I love Waldo! So cute! Our pets all get gifts at Christmas, they have a lot of fun destroying the wrapping lol!
ReplyDeleteThis is so cute Latane!
ReplyDeleteAdorable.
ReplyDeleteCongratulation on your new site ... I will surely come visit as I do so much enjoy your artwork. Your little Waldo has the same idea as my kitty, only, to my kitty, the ribbon is the gift :) Very cute, Latane ...

Oh this is awesome! I love the header of course! Love that we now have this venue to post as much artwork as we like! And, I love your puppy Waldo! Very cute drawing, Mom!
ReplyDeleteHow cute Waldo is! Hope he gets what he wanted.
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Would make a darling Christmas card! Love your header:) xx K
ReplyDeleteThat is one pleased puppy!
ReplyDeleteHe's so cute and it's such a happy lil' picture. Lovely. I love the cute wrapping too. Thank you, Latane!
ReplyDeletegood luck with this new blog. I get why you are doing it and in fact, have done that before myself where I had my last art co-op, Creative Tuesdays, broken out into a new theme and then would sign up to link back to my blog. However, I found it hard to keep up with two and that fewer people visited since they were confused which one to go to. I read later that generally blog type people prefer everything in one place so see how it goes. The good thing is, you are a master of your own presentation and blogs. Whatever works for you, I celebrate it. I love too that you want to include your daughter's wok too. Looking forward to seeing that as well. :D
BTW, I have our new Scribble Picnic themes/prompts up on the side bar. I think you'll rather enjoy some of them and some will get the creative wheels spinning. We will take a break for next week since it's the day before Thanksgiving and many of you are busy shopping and cooking big family meals and whatnot!
It’s obvious you have a good time with your art! Cheerful and uplifting!
ReplyDeleteYour take on the theme brought a huge smile to my face, Latane...LOVE your cute little puppy unwrapping his gift. Adorable!
