Flicker in the Snow by Marie
This watercolor was inspired by a photo of a flicker on our deck railing when there was no snow, but I chose to add the greenery and snow to the painting to give it a different feel. It's watercolor on paper. This painting has been chosen by a friend who requested I give her one of my bird paintings. I will have it matted before I send it to her. Joining in with Eva and Kristin's Paint Party Friday.

Wow, that's a very pretty bird! I've never seen one like that. This is a fabulous painting and the perspective of the bird is wonderful. Lovely! :)
