This watercolor was my first attempt to paint a person...also to paint the ocean, and I was pleased with the way it turned out. This is of my Grandson six and a half years ago at the beach after a trip to Disneyland. You can see his joy at being in the Pacific for the first time. I used a photo of the trip to give me my subject:

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful painting! And what a great memory you have! I remember visiting the Atlantic Ocean and was amazed at the lack of waves... I live only 45 minutes from the Pacific Ocean, which, even on a good day, pounds and crashes with bright fury. :D What a difference there is between the two oceans. :D
ReplyDeleteWonderful! What a happy painting!
