These two are not new, just stuck in my archives hoping to get out... and so here they are.
This one is a pastel I did a couple years ago of a tree by a stream. I'm not fond of pastels but that was all the art supplies I had at the time.
And, this one is a mocking bird in watercolor. I think the tree leaves should be reworked, don't you? They just don't seem to fit. But, I'm okay with the mocking bird. Yep, come to think of it... I am going to rework that tree branch and leaves.
Have a super weekend. Joining Paint Party Friday
I love Birch trees, actually all trees :) and I love birds.
ReplyDeleteThese are very lovely Latane.
Happy PPF~
Beautiful work, love the tree and the bird on the branch. Happy PPF, hugs, Valerie
ReplyDeleteThese are very nice! Love the soft quality of your pastel picture...you carry that over into your watercolors! I love the bird, but it might not hurt to do a little more work on the branch and leaves. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteThe tree seems to be OK and bird is lovely.
ReplyDeleteHappy PPF 🌼

ReplyDeleteI can almost hear that Mockingbird singing!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
I'm all for bright colours in my own art, but I really like the soft colour tones in your pieces. Great work!
ReplyDeletetrees and birds two lovely combinations! beautiful projects. happy PPF!
ReplyDeleteI think they are both very nice ...
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Both look good as they are, but it's always nice to revisit older painting, and maybe change something if we're no longer happy with it.
ReplyDeleteI like the softness in both paintings. I think your current tree branches make the bird stand out a more, but I am sure you will make it even better :)
